At Senkels, our goal is to produce shoelaces of the highest level of quality.
This means, that we start with a raw material, that still has 100% of its original fibre strength, not having been used and recycled beforehand.
The first step towards becoming a pair of Senkels is to individually dye the raw fibres. Compared to mass-produced shoelaces, this means that the colour is locked-into the fibre and doesn't rub off or fade as easily you might be used to. Then, those freshly dyed and sealed fibres are finely woven into a tube, generously waxed with beeswax and pressed into shape, to result in a beautiful pair of 3 mm flat waxed shoelaces.
